آمريڪي آرڪيالاجسٽ وليم بيچلر پنهنجي شاگردي واري دور ۾ ئي قديم آثارن جي علم ۾ دلچسپي وٺڻ شروع ڪئي. پاڻ پهريون گريجوئيٽ شاگرد هيو، جيڪو هڙاپا آرڪيالاجيڪل پراجيڪٽ جو حصو بڻيو. بيچلر ويسٽرن واشنگٽن يونيورسٽي مان اينٿروپلاجي ۾ بي اي ۽ ايم اي جي ڊگري ورتي. جڏهن ته ايم ايس جي ڊگري ميرائين يونيورسٽي مان حاصل ڪئي. هن پي ايڇ ڊي جي ڊگري وسڪونسن ميڊسن يونيورسٽي مان ڊاڪٽر جي ايم ڪينوائر جي رهبري هيٺ حاصل ڪئي. پاڻ هن وقت اولهه اوهيو جي هوائي يونيورسٽي ۾ آرڪيالاجي جو اسسٽنٽ پروفيسر آهي. هن سنڌو ماٿري جي سڀيتا تي ڪافي تحقيق ڪئي آهي. سندس تحقيق جو موضوع سنڌو سڀيتا جي معيشت ۽ واپار رهيو آهي. سندس سنڌو سڀيتا تي هيٺيان تحقيقي ڪتاب ۽ مقالا لکيل آهن.
